Basic Romanian grammar. Subject pronouns
In English, the subject pronouns are I, you, he, she, it, we and they, and this is the same in Romanian .
In Romanian, the subject pronouns are used for emphasis, whereas in English they are always necessary.
E.g. In English if we say "I am", it is not optional to miss out the 'I' and just say 'am', but in Romanian the word ' sunt ' on its own has the meaning 'I am' and if ' eu sunt ' was used it would give additional emphsis to the meaning.
Being polite (formal/informal)
There are four Romanian subject pronouns 'tu', 'dumneata' (singular) and 'voi', 'dumneeavoastr ă (plural).
