The Romanian language

Romanian has 25 million speakers and is spoken in Romania,  and as a minority language in Moldova and the Ukraine. The capital and largest city is Bucharest.

The Linguata series by Veneficium Ltd, includes Linguata Romanian, a software tool designed as a fast and efficient way to learn key Romanian words and phrases.

Romanian is one of the romance languages (e.g. French,Spanish, Italian etc)  and out these has the most similarities to Latin  (from which
they all originated), for example retaining the nominative, vocative, accuasative, genative and dative cases.

Romanian is also unique amoung the Romance languages by having no separate word for the definite article ' the '.

As well as differences with the other  Romance languages, Romanian shares strong similarities, one of them being different means of address depending on how well you know a person.

There are also similarities in the vocabulary with the other Romance languages, and knowing another will be an advantage in vocabulary aquisition.
